THE CREATURE
by Martin
The boy was
not scared.
He hoped he
would be spared.
Because
there was no one to help him.
The creature
was a bit dim.
The creature
gave him a present.
It was a pet
pheasant.
The boy felt
relieved.
And called

To the Rescue in Rush!

Martin and
Wictoria lived in Rush with their dad who worked as a coastguard. One summer’s
day the children were helping their dad out and keeping an eye on what was
going on out at sea. Martin was looking through his binoculars when suddenly he
shouted, “Dad-I think a climber’s in trouble on the cliffs! I can see someone
on a ledge halfway down. He’s waving his arms and shouting. He looks like he is
struggling to stand up.” Dad took one look and said “this looks serious” and
grabbed his phone from his pocket.
He phoned for some
special coast guards. They came as fast as they could. It was a bit harder than
they thought because his grip was loose. It took 3 minutes for the special
coastguards to get ready, then…..they went down. They told the man not to move.
They took the rope
with them to tie it over the man’s back. It took them 6 minutes to rescue the
man. The man said that his name was Tom, and that he was there to watch the sea
because he wanted to go fishing next day but then he slipped.
The special guards
said that in a future when he going to watch the sea he must take better care.
