Aaron's Stories

Aaron has written two stories and he hopes you like them.

Once upon a time there was a boy. His name was Jack. His eyes were brown. His hair was black. He lived in Rush.He was 8. He lived in a big house. He loved football. One day Jack went to play in Reece's house. Jack's dad brought Jack to Reece's house. Reece and Jack played untill 5.00. Jack's dad fell and broke his foot. He said 'I will be on crutches for 6 weeks'. 'Oh no' said Jack. He was sad. He went to play football. He got €2. He ran to the shop.
Friday his mammy got a new car. 'It is cool' said Jack. One day Jack saw Aaron. Jack's mammy brought Jack to Aaron's house. When Jack went in to play, Aaron went in too. Jack went to play with his friends. He went to the woods and a bear ate Jack.

A SPOOKY STORY

Once upon a time there was a boy who lived in Rush. His name was Lee. His eyes were brown. He was as tall as a car. He thought he was cool.

One day Lee drove to the shop. He went to his house to get ready for football. He broke his foot. 'Oh no' said Jack,

One day he went to the woods. The wolfman jumped out of a bush. 'Aaaaaa' said Lee. The wolfman ate Lee. Jack went to look for Lee. The wolfman ate Jack too.

DANCE CHAMPION

We have a champion in our group!
Stuart went to the All-Ireland Hip Hop competition in Cork last weekend.
He came 3rd in the under 8 section out of about 60 competitors.
Stuart did his dance for Assembly.

Stuart's sister Leah and her group FX came 1st in the under 14 championship.
Congratulations to Stuart and Leah. We are so proud of you.

welcome back

This year I will be working with some children in their classes, in my room and out in the garden. Aaron has written a poem for the blog and hopes you enjoy it.

Aaron’s Poem

I am a man

I have a van

I have a bear

And he has no hair

We are working in the garden. Mary gave us a plot to use. 

Jonathan worked hard spreading the compost. 

In the room we planted mustard and cress seeds.

Sports Day was on Wednesday 13 June. The children had a great time trying lots of different games.

We met with Ms O'Neill's class and compared what we knew and learned more interesting information about the famous ship.

Welcome back

Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday. Unfortunately Mr Ó Sé will be absent for a few weeks so I am acting principal in his place.
Mr Devine will be teaching in Room 4. The children are already working well with Mr Devine and I hope you all continue to work hard and get ready for fourth class.
I will be dropping in every so often to see how you are getting on.
We will start the children's blogs again from next week.

We have been learning about clothes, fabrics and design. We looked at clothes for celebrations from long ago, nowadays and from Nigeria.
Then we learned how cloth is made and tried weaving ourselves.

Next we designed some outfits. We hope you like them.

great bud race

We had a great bud race in the class. We placed some twigs in water on 7 February and waited to see which would open it's buds first.
We waited for a few weeks and do you recognise which bud is the winner??

Friday 9 March

Hi again my is V.I.C.T.O.R.I.A for cyos (chose your own subject) I drew some pictures. 1. Ant eater. 2. Bat.  3. Monkey. 4. Dolphin.  5. Crocodile.  6. Snake. 7. Octopus. For this week’s cyos I might sing a song or show my artwork. Maybe I’ll do I’ll both. I’m going to ask my favourite teacher Ms.Carroll.  See u later bye. Hi my name is Aliyat. For my CYOS I read a poem. I got it off the internet.  The poem was called ‘A Special World’ by -SHELLAGE LENNON-. I drew   a picture of a kitten but I forgot to bring it in. It was twin kittens. One was a boy and one was a girl. I like the girl kitten better than the boy kitten. I got the picture of the kittens off the internet as well. Bye....

Hi my name is Aminat.  For my cyos I read a book. It was ‘Saffron, The Yellow Fairy’. It was a good book you should read it.

The House of A M.O.N.S.T.E.R.  

One day a little girl called Sophie moved into a new house in England. Her grandparents came too but she would miss her aunty and uncle. She would miss her friends and the rest of her family. Then when she got there she loved it but her house did not say a lot. When she was sleeping  she could hear noises like errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ,  creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, woooooooooooooooooooble , woooooooooooooooooooooooble,     aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh! Help, go, go, go, save yourself. Ruhhhhhhhhhhhhhn, maaaam! Help! What? I am hearing things.

Hi my name is Eirinn. For my C.Y.O.S I made a pyramid out of cottonbuds and tape. First you get three cottonbuds and two bits of tape. You stick the three of the cottonbuds together. Do the same eight times and you have a pyramid. I also practised a poem.

                        The boy who went into the spooky house.

Once upon a time there was a boy who saw a huge house. He went into the house and there was a ghost saying "wwwhhhooo". The boy was so scared he wanted to go home but the door was locked. He said “mommy I want to go home”. So he ran upstairs and when he went upstairs he saw 100000 bats coming from the wardrobe and he screamed. He said “bbaattss” and ran into a room and saw a girl behind him. The girl said “hello what’s your name?” He said “my name is Morgan Brown”. The girl said her name was Sophie Williams. So they got out the room and ran outside the back garden and saw all kind of monsters. There where hairy ones, three legged ones, four eyed ones and hungry ones. So they ran inside and got weapons and went out and killed the all the monsters. They ran back inside and went to the door and ran home. THE END

Hi my name is Nicole. This Sunday I was at beavers. The roof in the beaver den is falling down so beavers was in the school. We played games and sang songs. We had lots of fun.

Hi my name is Kristians. I love money .You can buy anything you want. When it was my birthday I had €95. I was rich but I did not know what to buy?

Hi my name is Morgan. For my CYOS my dad and I made a volcano that explodes and I am going to tell you how to make one too. First you will need some chicken wire and if you don’t know what that is ask your dad. You will also need lots of newspaper, red and cream paint, vinegar, baking soda, red food colouring (optional), a spoon, PVA glue, a bottle the same size of the volcano for the end.
First get the chicken wire and make it into a volcano shape. Then get the PVA glue and put it into a basin. Then rip the newspaper into skinny rectangles. Put about 4 or 5 strips of the newspaper into the basin of PVA glue for about 10 seconds. Then stick them onto the chicken wire. You need to do put a few layers of the newspaper. When you have done this leave it to dry. When it is dry go over it with another layer of PVA glue. Then let that dry.
When that is dry paint the volcano peach or brown. Then paint the top red so it looks like lava. Then cut a hole on the top of the volcano. Get a bottle the same size of the volcano. Stick it in the volcano with the top of the bottle sticking out of the top.
Put the baking soda in the bottle and then put in the red food colouring. When you’re ready pour in some vinegar and sit back and watch it EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!. Well that’s all for me. Morgan, out, peace.

Hey it’s me Kerija again  Oisin Mc Gann came to our school he went to our class and I learned lots about writing. He was very funny. He drew a picture of the old granddad.  I have learned lots of facts about him these are the facts:

He came from Dublin. He spent half his childhood in Drogheda. He published his first books in 2003.  And that’s all the facts I learned.

On my weekends I went to Swords. It was very fun I bought clothes and stuff. Then I came home I went outside and started to play with my friends .And that’s it for today.

Hello my name is Kingsley. It is book week and I dressed up as Bertie in the book of Dirty Bertie Mud. I wore white trousers and a white short over it. I wore goalkeeper gloves. Because I didn’t have an orange jersey I wore a blue jersey.  Oisin McGann came to our school and drew a picture of Mad Granddad in “Mad Granddad’s Robot Garden”. Oisin McGann was funny.
