We are eating lots of fruit and vegetables at break time these days. We learned how to make a fruit salad and enjoyed eating it.
Megan's granny made vegetable soup for us and we enjoyed that.

welcome back
Welcome back to the last term in Senior Infants. It is good to be back in school. I hope everyone had a great holiday with lots of Easter Eggs and fun.
Before the holidays we had a very busy time. We composed our own class play 'Who Stole the Easter Bunny's Eggs?'. We practised very hard and acted in the play in the hall.
We really enjoyed doing our Easter concert.
We had an Easter Egg hunt on the day we got our holidays in the playground.
We have been eating fruit and vegetables on Try it Tuesday when we try different fruit and vegetables and on Friday we have fruit for break.

Hurling and planting
We learn how to play hurling every Wednesday with Colm. We played a game this week.
We planted some vegetables with Mary. We planted strawberries and potatoes. We also planted sunflower seeds. We will eat the fruit and vegetables when they grow and will wait to see whose sunflower grows the tallest.
Next Tuesday we will try different fruit and vegetables and see which ones we like to eat.
On Friday we will have fruit at break time.
We made a lovely basket of Easter Eggs. Would you like one?

Reading buddies
Every week we read with our buddies in Fifth and Sixth class. Sometimes we write stories together when we are finished reading. This week we taught each other clapping games.
We went to the playground again for our PE. We had a great time climbing, balancing, swinging, jumping and playing together.
We are writing our class play for Easter. It is called 'Who Stole the Easter Bunny's Eggs'. We will perform it on Wednesday 13 April. We hope you enjoy it.

This week in Room 8
This week we collected information and made graphs to show our favourite animals and how we came to school on Wednesday- BOW WOW Day.
On Thursday Junior and Senior Infants went to the Playground for PE. We were climbing, swinging, hanging, sliding, taking turns and playing with our friends. Cuddles came too and had a great time on the slide.
Friday we started to write our play for the Easter concert. The children gave their ideas and we made a mind map to think about the story and what will happen.
We also made pictures in the yard with chalk.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
Dia daoibh
We have been doing lots of work as Gaeilge this week.
De Luain we had a trail around the school and practised speaking as Gaeilge with our reading buddies from Fifth and Sixth class.
De Céadaoin we worked with Miss Archer's class in the hall. Immanuel told us the story of the Buachaillín Sinséar and we drew our own buachaillín.
We will have a coirmcheoil at Assembly on Friday. Each class will perform and the children from Smarty Pants will join us for the ceol agus craic.
Beannachtaí na Feile Pádraig daoibh uilig.
Happy St Patrick's Day to you all.
