Spring

Leah and Aaron went around the school today to see more signs of Spring.
The temperature was 9 degrees.

Leah's crocus is the first to flower.

These daffodils are the first to flower. They are beside the polytunnel.

Spring

Koby. Dylan and Martin are exploring nature looking for signs of Spring.
They will look at the pond, a horse chestnut and ash tree to look for changes to show Spring is coming.

We will take a photo of the same spot every week on a Thursday to see the changes.
We will also watch the birds and identify some of them.

Signs of Spring

On Wednesday 23/1/13, Aaron went around the school grounds looking for signs that Spring is on its way. He and the other children will record their findings on the blog as well as on the www.greenwave.ie website. The website is where schools all around Ireland can show the coming of Spring. We are looking at the temperature, the ash and horse chestnut trees and frog spawn.

Aaron asked Mary about signs of Spring.

It was 0 degrees in St Catherine's.

The snowdrop is the first flower we see in Spring.

Our bulbs are starting to grow.

Happy Christmas

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas holiday. Before the holidays we made a picture of the town of Bethlehem.
